Thaw 30 minutes at room temperature. |

Heat in 375 °F (190 °C) oven for 2 - 3 minutes. |

Peel, core and chop apples. Cut apples into ¼ inch slices. |

In a medium pot, melt butter and cinnamon over medium heat. Stir in apples, sugar and water. |

Cover and stir occasionally for 6 minutes or until softened. |

In a separate small bowl, combine cornstarch and 2 tbsp water then add slurry into the medium pot with the cooked apples. Stir and continue to cook the apples until they are soft and filling thickens. |

Remove pot from heat and allow apple topping to cool. |
